Speck Funeral Home - Jerry Elzo Norris

Mr. Jerry E. Norris, 81, of Livingston passed away at the Livingston Regional Hospital on March 1st, 2026. Jerry was also known by his CB handle "West Fork".

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 4th at 2 pm from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home. The family will welcome friends on Wednesday from noon until time for the service. Burial will be in the John Vaughn Cemetery in Alpine. Brother Darrek Copeland will be officiating the services.

Jerry is survived by his sons Dale and Darryl Norris, grandchildren Falyn Norris, Brodye Norris, and Tara Simcox, brother Larry Norris (Billie), and nephews Kevin and Jonathan Norris. He is also survived by his grand-dog Lilly.

He was preceded in death his sisters and brother in laws: Inez and Wilbur Wright and JoAnna and Roy Johnson.

Born in Fentress County to the the late Irvin and Ida York Norris on February 16th, 1941, Jerry was a man who loved his family dearly but never missed a chance to "start a fuss" with anyone because that was just his personality. Jerry was a Christian and a devout student of the Holy Scriptures. Jerry loved reading and studying God's word.  Jerry was a CB and Ham radio enthusiast and talked with people all across the world through his Ham radio and locals through the CB. Jerry loved bluegrass gospel music and enjoyed driving his family crazy with his banjo picking. Jerry was usually at peace when he started plucking his 5 string "banjer".  Jerry will be missed and as they say in Ham radio lingo "N4SIE  is 73 and clear" (A friendly goodbye) . With Jerry and his eternal destination being heaven, it means "See you Later".
